The bed and all the pillows were so comfortable I was rolling around squealing with delight, lol. Our room made me feel like a total rock star and the bathroom was humongous. Music pumping, rock memorabilia, and neon lights. The good: As soon as you walk into this place it is total hard rock style. The shampoo and conditioner provided in the room were horrible.

The casino reaked so badly of cigarette smoke. When visited the casino and sat there at the same row of slot machines losing my money for hours, I was only approached once by one waitress to be offered a drink. This was a huge inconvenience when checking in and checking out. We had to lug our suitcases and all loose items up the escalator and around by the casino to then take the elevator up to the 5th floor. We dragged everything inside only to find there is no elevator on that floor to take us up to our room. There was no one in sight to help and no luggage carts around. When I arrived at the hotel and parked, my daughter and I were struggling trying to carry all of our bags and things. Perhaps I have been spoiled by the fabulous hospitality of New Orleans hotels.The bad: I had problems at check in with my reservation, and problems with my billing at checkout due to the reservation errors. We chose to leave the hotel at 3am, rather than patronize this hotel. After confirming that I was the chosen guest of my husband, the hotel manager and security chose to stand by the insulting actions of the front desk personnel, rather than offer an appropriate apology. Following my irate reaction, I was escorted thru the casino by security to find my husband. The teenagers that work the front desk refused, citing hotel policy to protect the privacy of my husband’s and whoever he should choose to invite to our hotel room.

After an unsuccessful second attempt to enter my room, I went to the front desk for assistance. I called the front desk to confirm my room number. When I went to my room, my room key didn't work. After some time gambling in the casino, I chose to leave my husband in the casino and retire for the night.

The 'entertainment' was isolated to two young girls that looked incredibly uncomfortable dancing on a stage in the center of the room. After eating dinner at another hotel, we returned to the Hard Rock Hotel to have a few cocktails at their 'exclusive' nightclub on the top floor. The sixteen year-olds working at the front desk were more interested in socializing with each other that ensuring our fastidious check-in. My husband and I met our friends on a Friday night to stay at this hotel.
